Hi Mike, with Unity 3.8.4 we fixed a big stability issue on 64-bit systems which was causing stacktraces like this. Could you please try out the latest Unity + Compiz and see if you still have this issue? I'm going to Mark it as fix-released, but if it does happen again feel free to re-open and poke me on IRC or something, thanks.
