great, it seems you can (unfortunately in your case) reproduce it easy, can you try to downgrade gtk in any case like I told in comment #9?

I should you should find it from gtk launchpad page, like https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/2.21.5-1ubuntu6
