Bug Description

My computers are set up with four workspaces. In left top I have Firefox, in right top VirtualBox, in left bottom Calc and in right bottom is Thunderbird. To move from one workspace to another I just click the appropriate icon in the launcher. This works flawlessly on all desktops. However on the laptop it does not. I have to click on the workspace icon in the launcher to move to another workspace. Clicking an icon does nothing.

Now I was asked to provice what I did to cause this, step by step, unfortunately I have no idea what either happened in Unity or what I might have done to cause this.

I am reasonably sure it was that way when as a result of the "no panel no launcher" problem as corrected in bug # 1319146
I entered the indicated command which gave me back the Unity screen that was missing at that time.

Please provide me with any command required to get to the bottom of this, I will do anything I can to correct this bug.

I may add, that it does not in any other way show any problems. I can do any work on the laptop, except show off Ubuntu Linux to others who may be interested in switching from Windows.

Thank you for looking into this. Fortunately over time it has resolved itself, as I just set it up again on the laptop, and the switching works flawlessly. All four screens show in the launcher, and can be accessed from there either by clicking the appropriate icon or the workspace shown in the launcher.

I would consider this bug to be solved
