Got for each artist its own folder and inside those folders are the album folders.
Album art is shown (album.jpeg) but the artist is not shown (folder.jpg not recognized).

Should I avoid to organize my collection this way?!

Unfortunately, there is no way to provide artist art via an external file. (As far as I know, there is no established convention for doing this.)

If your songs are correctly tagged with the artist, the thumbnailer will try to retrieve artist images from 7digital though. If 7digital has the artwork, it is displayed in the music app and music scope.

If you are online, you should be getting artist art for most of the albums in your collection. The 7digital artwork is quite comprehensive.

Could you let us a few of the artists and albums (with the same exact spelling) for which you do not get artist art please?

BTW, folder.jpg is for *album* art, not for *artist* art. If you have both album.jpg and folder.jpg, the image in album.jpg takes precedence and folder.jpg is ignored.

Couldn't find it on 7digital

Got only one jpg for each folder. Folder structure:
Music
- Artist [folder.jpg]
-- Album [album.jpg]

Yes, 7digital does not have artist art for Cake Bake Betty.

It doesn't not matter how many folder.jpg files you put into your tree. *Both* folder.jpg and album.jpg files are used for *album* art, not artist art. If they are both present, album.jpg is used, and folder.jpg is ignored.

It is not possible to provide *artist* art by adding file to a folder. Only *album* art can be provided this way.

As far as I know, there is no established convention for providing artist art by adding a file to an album directory.
