1. Hit Super to open the Dash and escape to cancel
2. Hit Super to open the Dash and click on an active window without entering text
3. Hit Super to open the Dash and run an application that opens full-screen (Audacity/Synaptic in my case)
4. Hit Super to open the Dash, click on a lens, e.g. applications, then escape to cancel
It behaves correctly in these cases:
1. Hit Super to open the Dash and Super again to cancel
2. Hit Super to open the Dash and click on the desktop to cancel
OK, I have a better pattern of failure now:
I lose launcher and panel in these cases:
It recovers if I Hit Super-S a couple of times.
