There's a whole bunch of bugs that single-click/double-click/drag/right-click don't work as they would on a detached titlebar and they probably want processing as a set. The implementation is of course not fixed, but my hunch is that it should be more about handing the 'default:' case when unprocessed events fall-through and passing those to the Window Manager than trying to pick them off one-by-one and continuously missing odd ones.
