I don't even know what unattended-upgrades is doing here. Probably got reinstalled by do-release-upgrade :-/
This unattended upgrading causes too many kernels to be installed, filling up the /boot.
And then you get tickets like this: "I didn't perform any action to get this crash." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1977647
I guess the bug should be moved to the unattended-upgrades package. Don't do auto-upgrades if there is less than 200MB of space in /boot or a slightly larger amount in /.
