The good news is that Debian has packaged 1.25.0+dfsg-1 which should resolve this issue. However, it looks like the version currently in Ubuntu was packaged independently, so the package won't be synced automatically. In these cases, someone need to look over whether the Ubuntu changes are applied upstream or in the Debian package, or whether the delta is still required. It might be that there's still some Ubuntu-specific changes need to be kept, in which case these changes need to be merged with the newer Debian package.
