@Andy -- I did. He replied that as I had already pointed out, the information is already exported in sysfs in another file. I replied that it is unusable there because the file is in the wrong place, and because udev doesn't do bitwise comparisons. He never replied. Maybe I'll poke him again about it.

@Dana: That is an AHCI controller ( pretty sure just about ALL sata controllers are ), so this would apply to it.
