Seconded - I have a Tungsten T3 also.

To have /dev/pilot and /dev/ttyUSB* created I have to manually load the visor module (and press the hotsync button on the cradle).

I'm quite sure that edgy didn't have this problem and loaded the visor module automatically.

I'm having some problems getting the T3 to sync up at all... I'll play around and post again with progress.

No, I lie - once I load the visor module manually, syncing the pilot works perfectly.

But the visor module should be loaded automatically.

Same problem here on Feisty, with the same solution working, i.e loading the visor module.

In order to automate this at startup, just put "visor" in the /etc/modules file.

In Edgy, I didn't have to do this, i.e the visor module loaded upon pressing the hotsync button of my Palm Treo 650.

Same problem for me on Feisty (with a Zire 72), after manually loading the visor module it works fine. It worked fine on Edgy.

Looks like libpisock9 blacklisted it (/etc/modprobe.d/libpisock9), so people can use the new libusb method (use usb: instead of /dev/pilot). If usb: does not work, you can remove the blacklist entry (edit the file instead of removing it, so it will not be added back on upgrades) and it should work with /dev/pilot.
