Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-ubuntu-
Upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 and a working 3945ABG wireless card stops working. Network manager shows 3 wired interfaces instead of 1 wired and 1 wireless.

wlan0_renamed.
Removing the following line from /etc/udev/
# PCI device 0x8086:0x4222 (ipw3945)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTRS{address}

This bug happened for me too.
I can confirm that removing the udev rule fixes the issue.
