Did you follow the workaround in the bug description? The bug fix does not help people who upgraded to Hardy before the bug was fixed. Please try the following:

1. sudo rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
2. Reboot
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules should have been regenerated correctly.
