This bug has continued into the 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope Version, I had stopped using that option since it always crashed on me. The change that I make in the menu.lst grub file is deleting all the "quiet" and replacing and adding "splash", because I like to see some of the messages going on behind the screens. The merge function doesn't seem to like that.

I have not tried it with the latest stuff yet, but will try it next time it comes around.
