Sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you.
In order to further diagnose the problem we'll need more detailed logs.
You can turn on debug logs in syncdaemon, following these 3 steps:
1. stop the syncdaemon client and applet, and be sure it's fully stopped ("ps -eaf | grep ubuntuone-client" should give you nothing).
2. put a file named syncdaemon.conf in your $HOME/.config/ubuntuone directory with the following information:
[__main__] log_level = DEBUG
3. restart the client.
With the logs in DEBUG level enbaled, please attach all the syncdaemon.log* files when you hit this .u1conflict issue again.
