Thank you for your insight on the duplicate status. I looked at bug 457147 before submitting this report. When I compared syncdaemon.exceptions.log.txt with the one in bug 457147, I noticed that in mine, the status was IDLE, while in the other it was CONNECTED_WITH_METAQ.
