Same here. Was working fine in KDE with correct dependencies; however upon a fresh install, my web account still had info from a previous install. I deleted that with the intention of adding my computer with the fresh install's credentials. Sadly, Ubuntu One never prompted to add this computer, and so forever is in a "Disconnected" state.

Why in the world is there no manual option from the applet's menu or on the web interface to add computers? Relying solely on the app to present it to you obviously has its flaws.
