Thanks for the report, this is a known issue and we need to expose a property in Pickers + tweak the tumbler scroll speed to a proper speed.

We are working on a redesigned DatePicker component, so this may fall under a lower priority, however we will add the property driving the Pickers so we can tweak the speed. The new component will use Pickers (tumblers) in Time picking, but not in Date picking.
