Just add-apt-repository doesn't work as the priority of a silo is below the regular archive so those things aren't pulled in.
At best you use the citrain command line tool for this. However if you're installing a silo you will put your device into unsupported state and have to reflash to avoid any problems on OTA upgrade. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/citrain/LandingProcess#Command-Line_Tool for how to install the citrain tool.
Then it is simple as this:
$ citrain device-upgrade 43 <your device pin>
Wait a bit and the device will go through a reboot.
