I fxed it
please could you try this in a shell command and adjust libraries names accordingly to your distribution/ release
export LD_PRELOAD= /usr/lib/ i386-linux- gnu/libapt- private. so.0.0: /usr/lib/ i386-linux- gnu/libapt- pkg.so. 4.12.0
and within the same shell apt related commands ( apt, apt-cache, apt-get ... )
it seems to be an obscure shared lib configuration using ldconfig and ldconfig cache ( I had removed it several time before without fixinfg anything)
