Comment 3 for bug 1250872

I don't believe this is a duplicate of 1239710. The symptoms occur 100% of the time and it's not just the shutdown button and clock that are missing from the top status bar. It's everything. Dropbox and the Network Manager appear only because I tried something found on a forum. For a new user, nothing appears in the status bar.

Also, the fixes that worked for 1239710 do not work for me.
