There are several different issues reported here, which will make them impractical to track and resolve. I’ve re-targetted the bug at the ubuntu-keyboard project, for the OSK-related issues. Would you mind filing a separate bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/+filebug for the text selection issues, and move the relevant information there? Thanks!
