VA-API packages helpers should be installed with the proprietary drivers.
fglrx should include xvba-va-driver in dependency list.
nvidia-current should include vdpau-va-driver in dependency list. |
Trere should be easy way to install VA-API helper packages for nVidia, AMD and Intel GPU's (I don't have information about level of Broadcom Crystal HD support in Ubuntu).
I propose to provide item in Jockey that help to install xvba-va-driver or vdpau-va-driver or libva-intel-vaapi-driver if supported hardware detected. |
