Plymouth is only the messenger here; the problem lies with whatever package is installed that is running the service that is hanging.

This service is not part of a stock Ubuntu install, which means I can't trivially identify the package that is responsible for this service. I'm therefore marking the bug report as invalid. However, if you can determine which package this message comes from, please reopen it and assign it to that package.
