Comment 3 for bug 996568

Same for me. I can boot into a live system (lubuntu or xubuntu) without any problem. Installation crashes just after entering user information, i.e. the X-window closes and shows console no.7 - only a (working) mouse pointer remains on the screeen, which I am still able to move around. I am not a linux expert - but if someone tells me which log files could be of any help, I could post them here as well.
