It might help you folks if you know this.

When I run parted /dev/sda (as root) from the
command line and execute

resize 1 0 20%
I get the error
Error: File system has an incompatible feature enabled.

The file system in question was created by
20070322 ubuntu installer,
Option
Guide me- use entire disk

Actually any parted resize I try to do no matter what the params it fails with the
incompat feature enabled error above.
