I've two SATA disks; in sata2 I've Ubuntu Feisty 32 bits, working without complaint.
In sata1 I've Ubuntu 6.10, with three partitions: root, swap and home. After I tried installing Feisty 64 bit, and failed I installed the Ubuntu 6.10.
So the disk or the computer has no problem.
