The same happened with amd64 image of Ubuntu. Now I moved to openSUSE 11.4 and didn't get any errors, so the problem could be only with the ubuntu installation. I'll attach the logs for this last setup,but don't expect too much feedback since I didn't received it from you neither, and had to move to a more stable OS.
