i had the same problem with natty beta from usb drive.
i even used my maverick from usb too, it said something about upgrading the installer, then, crashes exactly like natty.
note that i installed maverick from usb before and it went well, wich comfirmes that the problem is in ubiquity.

note: my architecht is 32bit
