(X)ubuntu 6.06 does not install on Intel Macs

Bug Description

Installer crashes when trying to "execute grub on hd0" (which is nonsense because the iMac has no normal hard drive; the internal drive is mounted as "sda".

Further the GRUB loader won't work probably because the normal spread version may still have the bug that hangs the system when the A20 gate is not existing like on Intel Macs. Therefore you may have to use LILO instead.

I'm afraid Intel Macs are not currently supported by ubiquity, although you may be able to get them to work using the alternate install CD. See bug 52779.
