I think I have the same problem.

I got my brand new Mac Mini (newest generation) this week and of course I have to install some kind of Linux on it :-)

First I tried Debian 5.05 AMD64 which could not detect my cdrom driver.
Then I tried Ubuntu 9.10 which didn't boot at all.

I then updated my Ubuntu Desktop CD to "ubuntu-10.04-desktop-amd64.iso" which didn't boot showing the above mentioned behavior. Unfortunately I was not able to access a shell to dump some logs.

I am now with the newest iso image I found "maverick-desktop-amd64.iso" and it still does not boot. After some seconds however I do get a busybox.

The console output says "Unable to find a medium containing a live file system"

From the log it seems like there is trouble with my SATA harddrive.

Please feel free to contact me If you need mor information. I'll try to get some more logs online.
