Bug Description

The screensaver (blank screen) activates during installation after about 15-20 minutes. This isn't particularly optimal as some users may wonder what happened to their computer when the screen goes black without warning. This is present in all Ubuntu CDs.

I made a guess you are installing from the live environment so have marked it as gnome-screensaver. If you are not using the live environment please comment back.

gnome-screensaver and gnome-session provide dbus API's for inhibiting the screensaver, and it is the responsibility of individual applications to inhibit the screensaver if it shouldn't activate during a specific activity. In this case, the installer should do this if you think that the screensaver shouldn't activate whilst installing
