Thanks for your report. This is also bug 41865, which is fixed in Flight CD 7. You may like to try a daily build (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/) instead, though, as Kubuntu Flight CD 7 suffers from bug 43125 and you'll probably run into that.
