installer partitioner malfunction followed by crash

Bug #42418 reported by Simon Ruggier on 2006-05-01
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
ubiquity (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I was at the final screen of the install when I hit back twice to get to the embedded gparted screen (manual editing). I think when I hit back twice, I was still at the screen after the manual editing screen, so I hit it again, and then gparted started in a separate window instead of embedded. Then I hit forward, and the installer hung, so I closed gparted, hit next again, and then the installer crashed.

Simon80: thanks for your report. This is also bug 38665.

dglock: please don't assume that all crashes are the same bug; it makes it much more difficult for me to deal with bug reports if everyone just lumps them all together into the same bug. Your crash is also bug 41865, and will be fixed in the next upload of ubiquity.
