Going back to "Prepare partitions" is broken

Bug Description

Use the manual partitioner option and go all the way to the final confirmation screen. Then start going back until you reach "Prepare partition". Going back to this screen for some reason restarts gparted. Once you close gparted, both the forward button and the back button cease to work.

I ran into a similar problem, gparted was started outside the espresso window (as a seperate window) and espresso hung until I closed gparted. Going forward again resulted in a crash. I'll attach the installer log.

I fixed Michael's bug recently:

ubiquity (0.99.80) dapper; urgency=low

  * If we get an IOError when trying to tell gparted or qtparted to apply
changes, just shut it down and try running it again (closes: Malone
    #43504, #44108).
  * Fix get_string to handle requests for fully-qualified debconf questions
    again.
  * Defend against progress_title being None in debconf_progress_start a bit
    harder.
  * Update Korean translation from Rosetta.

I suspect this and other recent changes will have sorted out this bug. If you can still reproduce it in the release candidate (not Ubuntu/amd64, since we had to ship an older version of that due to a different bug, but any other architecture) then please reopen this bug.
