Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Your log shows errors such as:

Jan 24 03:13:05 ubuntu casper-md5check[5010]: Checking ./pool/restricted/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/nvidia-kernel-source-470_470.199.02-0ubuntu0.22.04.1_amd64.deb..../pool/restricted/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/nvidia-kernel-source-470_470.199.02-0ubuntu0.22.04.1_amd64.deb: Input/output error

This indicates a problem with your install media, not likely a failing USB stick or a bad connection. You can try copying the Ubuntu install image to the install media again to see if that fixes the problem, but you should probably use different install media.

In either case, this does not represent a bug in Ubuntu.
