Something similar to this occurred on a previous version of Kubuntu.
I was test installing Kubuntu and I think it was Impish Indri.
If I remember right the tool chain had just been installed and the problem was in there somewhere.
I'm not a programmer or developer so I can't expand on that. I think tool chain might have something to do with it.
My report on 2021-11-08 was the first instance of this bug on Kubuntu Jammy Jellyfish, I had been testing every day with no problem until then. I posted at launchpad as soon as it cropped up. My report was bug 1950132.
The day before, 2021-11-07 everything had been fine.
I'm happy to engage in further testing if this is useful. I'll watch this page.
