I struggled over the same option today when installing Xubuntu 16.04

For me it reads:
- It installs graphics drivers (AMD/nVidia/Intel) -> [which I don't want]
- Install wi-fi drivers, but it's not clear if this is a generic firmware package [which is ok] or something explicitly wifi-specific like wpasupplicant [which I don't want]
- Install flash (pepper plugin or alternative implementation? and for which browser(s)?) [which I probably want depending on the implementation]
- MP3 and other media [which I want if they are only the codec and NOT players]

You see: I want to know what gets installed. I tend to uncheck the option but like to know what it covers so that I learn the "best practice" for each particular problem and can install flash and media codes manually later. Maybe there is a complete description about it?

Btw the source of this is Bug 694328
