Boot from usb drive 2. Select try ubuntu 3. In the live desktop open a terminal 4. In the terminal type "mkdir tmp" tap Enter 5. In the terminal type "sudo mount /dev/sda1 tmp/" and tap enter 6. In the terminal type "sudo mkdir tmp/EFI/boot" and tap enter 7. In the terminal type "sudo touch tmp/EFI/boot/bootx64.efi" and tap enter 8. Reboot 9. Tap F2 until the UEFI menu opens 10. Select Boot Sequence 11. Tap on Add Boot Option 12. Name it ubuntu 13. Tap on the file dots 14. On File System select FSO: 15. For Directories select EFI/ubuntu 16. For Files select shimx64.efi 17. click on Okay 18 Click on Apply and then Exit 19. System should now reboot into Ubuntu.
