I just did a UEFI-mode install in a kvm VM using the latest Vivid desktop ISO (16-Apr-2015), and it worked!

I booted the ISO with init=/sbin/upstart to work around the installer not being able to reboot after the install has finished, but otherwise things worked perfectly!
