Comment 3 for bug 339311

Sorry, I had forgotten to write that I was able to move on to Xubuntu 9.4 and now even 9.10. (I think I got my working updates from another / the main server?! instead of one closby in Europe).

So far so good, it seemed.

Now, but I realise this is a new problem, my system doesn't seem to be able to update: since last week every time it tells that there are 34 "important security updates" (Xubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala).
And when downloading/ installing them via "update manager" or the terminal, my system "freezes": nothing workes anymore, and I have to restart the pc manually by un- and replugging the electricity cable.

If you happen to have a solution for this one, please explain it to me.
