Bug Description
Binary package hint: trousers
Please consider trousers for inclusion into Ubuntu main.
* https:/
libltspi-dev is a build dependency for ecryptfs-utils, which is under consideration for main:
* Bug #247400
* https:/
We could, perhaps, remove libltspi-dev as a build dependency for ecryptfs-utils (Patch with Bug #247389). I requested that Debian do this upstream, but they disagreed. See:
* http://
libltspi contains support for the Trusted Computing (TPM) chips which are found on many new laptops and servers, particularly IBM hardware.
If we include support for libltspi, ecryptfs could be used to cryptographically couple filesystems to particular hardware.
