If so, the affected packages might need to be added to the package affected list in the bug report.

Once a consensus is reached, the proposed solution should be written as a blueprint rather than a simple bug report . The blueprint should list all of the known affected packages and what shall be done.

However, I am not sure I agree with making so many changes to Universe/Multiverse packages, unless upstream (Debian) accepts them.
