Blocklist always has 0 rules

Everytime I try to update the blocklist from a remote source, the popup says, update has succeeded but has 0 rules.

This is weird. Everytime. I use this one:
http://john.bitsurge.net/public/biglist.p2p.gz

The version is the latest, 2.82

Any suggestions what I can do? Maybe it's a bug?

Works for me with the same version [2.82 (14160)]. It did take a long time to download! I have 276,381 rules.

I would advice trying to ping john.bitsurge.net it maybe blocked on your network or DNS?

Ah, works on my side now. Well, in that case the UI should be improved and display a loading / waiting indicator when downloading a long list ...
