Emmet,

the actual index is in ~/.cache/tracker

And we only index your home directory by default so unless you have mounts in your home it should not go and index anything else

The mem leaks and corruption issues have been fixed in svn

we have one serious bug to fix before releasing 0.6.4 and thats to stop indexing when disk space is low

Please give tracker another go when 0.6.4 has been released and backported into gutsy
