I'm closing this bug report, since this is a development version of Ubuntu, and it's likely to eat your dog or fire your house at some point ;)
Seriously, if something has a bug, the solution isn't to remove it from the distro, but to fix it. And that's what we are going to do, instead of disabling it. Those critical bugs are been working on, even are fixed in svn trunk, and will be fixed in Gutsy later this week, with 0.6.3 release.
Tracker is, and will be enabled by default in Gutsy, hence I'm closing this report.
