Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

Totam wasn't run from context menu, so I decided to start it from console. After two attempts, apport sent me here.

$ totem

ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstlibvisual.so

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap and debug.

Oh yes, now I see totem is back to life. But I never ran it by console (in normal conditions) and now I caught another error message:

** (totem:23243): WARNING **: Failed to create dbus proxy for org.gnome.SettingsDaemon: Could not get owner of name 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon': no such name

Should I open another bug report or forget about it?

TIA

The released fix does indeed fix my problem. Now everything works, right up through the "appearance" applet, which was relying on gnome-settings-daemon, which seemed to rely on gst.

Thanks!
