I closed Pidgin using the right-click menu in the panel. After a bit it hadn't closed and I was presented with a box saying the program couldn't shut down, would I like to "wait" or "force quit". I chose "force quit" and locked the computer. Came back 14 hours later and Pidgin is still running, shows as "uninterruptible" in System Monitor".
Tried:
kill -9 pid
killall pidgin
Kill from System Monitor
End from System Monitor
Just wanted to confirm this is happening in other apps, Pidgin in my case.
Pidgin 2.4.1
Kernel 2.6.24.19.21 (latest)
Ubuntu 8.04
