Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

It looks like something has gone wrong during installation of tomcat6; these links should have been created when the libtomcat6-java package was installed (a direct dependency of tomcat-common).

Please could you try re-installing the package using the following command:

  sudo apt-get install --reinstall libtomcat6-java

Please update this bug report if this resolves your issue; if not any log output from completing this command would be useful.
