Now that autodeployment works, yes ! For applications outside appBase, it's possible to just drop the XML context file into /etc/tomcat6/Catalina/localhost... and Tomcat should notice them in the next 10 seconds. Undeploy works the same. This is valid for all three webapps (-examples, -admin and -docs).
