Bug Description
Binary package hint: timer-applet
my timer-applet consumes too much CPU time after the preset time has ended. The CPU processing time then jumps to 20% on a computer of the Centrino class.
I expect hat timer -applet will not consume much more CPU processing time during this operation phase because it has not much to accomplish.

Thanks for making Timer-Applet better by reporting this issue.
This is a known issue, and it is due to the pulsing panel icon. You can deactivate the pulsing panel icon by updating to Timer Applet 2.2b1.
You can download the .deb here, supposing you have a 32-bit processor: launchpad. net/timer- applet/ 2.2/2.2b1/ +download/ timer-applet_ 2.2beta1_ i386.deb
http://
Otherwise, there's the 64-bit version: launchpad. net/timer- applet/ 2.2/2.2b1/ +download/ timer-applet_ 2.2beta1_ amd64.deb
http://
Please, report here if this is not working for you.
